An indie feature film from Singapore, the heart of the Nusantara (the Malay Archipelago clustered in Southeast Asia). Sayang Disayang (previously called Ramuan Rahasia as its working title) is a concoction of spicy food & classic folk songs of the Nusantara, blended into a potent yet digestible contemporary platter.
5 years in the making, the film started production in 2009 but stalled soon afterwards due to insufficient funds. Further funding was initiated via online crowdsourcing and a concert supported by musicians based in Singapore and Kuala Lumpur. The film is finally completed in 2013.
