An interview with the Director of Controllo, screening at the 2024 Mosaic World Film Festival.
Based on the story of Lucy Rosati in Chicago 1921. After the police fail her, fifteen-year-old Lucy Rosati, decides to take justice into her own hands after being assaulted by her forty-five-year-old neighbor.
1. What drew you to create this film?
My best friend told me about her great grandma, and I just knew the story had to be told.
2. What does filmmaking mean to you?
It is the link between my imagination and the physical world.
3. What advice would you give students or beginners that want to make films?
Get a camera and shoot everything.
4. What films do you watch again and again?
I love Cary Grant films, but as far as modern I love The Pelican Brief, The Next Three Days.
