Adam, a thirty years old man exhausted by his work, wakes up in the dining car of a moving train, without knowing neither when nor how he ended up there. He will have to roam through each car in the pursuite of answers : a trip that he won’t soon forget.

– What drew you to create this film?
We are five animation enthusiasts studying in this field. During our studies, we had the opportunity to create our own animated short film. The creative freedom this project offered allowed us to bring to life the film we are presenting to you today.
– What does filmmaking mean to you?
For us, cinema is first and foremost a way to tell stories through images and sound. It’s about imagining and creating to share emotions with others. Making films also means encouraging reflection, imagination, and creativity.
– What advice would you give students or beginners that want to make films?
Making a film is a long and perilous adventure in which you have to be ready to give it your all. For us, it’s clear that you have to believe in yourself and not be afraid of failing. Failure is part of the journey and makes you stronger. Beyond that, we believe that organization is the most important thing. Good organization prevents you from rushing headlong without thinking, which helps avoid mistakes and also saves a considerable amount of time.
– What films do you watch again and again?
There are few movies we could watch over and over again. But we each have at least one: The Secret Life of Walter Mitty (2013), Speed Racer (2008), Birdman (2014), Ratatouille (2007), Cars (2005). They aren’t the only ones, but they’re films that have left a deep impression on us and explain our passion today.
Destination will screen during the animation film/music video screening on Saturday the 19th that starts at 11:00am!
